Florence, S.C. — Reuben Hewitt of First Reliance Bank has been selected as a “rising star” by Independent Banker, the Independent Community Bankers of America’s national trade magazine. Hewitt’s selection in the category of Financial Services Representative is in recognition of his efforts at the bank and in the community.
“ICBA wanted to recognize community bankers who are exceptionally good at what they do,” says ICBA’s Director of Communications Tim Cook. “These individuals not only excel in their jobs, but represent our industry’s best virtues, a commitment to customer service and participation in the civic events.”
Rick Saunders, President and CEO of First Reliance Bank spoke highly of Hewitt saying, “He has a strong work ethic. He is always expanding his job knowledge and he’s dedicated to improving his contribution to our team. All these qualities make him a valuable asset, but most importantly, he’s an expert when it comes to personal service. He always goes the extra mile to insure our customers solve their problems and leave with a smile.”
ICBA is the nation’s largest community bank trade association, which exclusively represents the interest of community banks.
Recognized bankers appear in the February 2003 issue of the magazine and represent a diverse range of positions, including: director, marketing officer, branch manager and chief lending officer.
When asked about being recognized nationally among his peers Hewitt commented that,” I am proud of this award not only for myself but also for my bank. Helping people with their needs is what I enjoy most. I owe this award to the customers and community that I serve.”
First Reliance Bank is a Member FDIC and an Equal Housing Lender.
