David Raines awarded Employee of the Year for First Reliance Bank

March 3, 2003 (Florence, SC) – David Raines of First Reliance Bank recently received the banks highest honor for an employee, the Employee of the Year award.

Rick Saunders, President and CEO of First Reliance Bank expressed that, “The Employee of the Year award at First Reliance Bank is designed to recognize those employees who exemplify the values and standards of excellence the bank encourages all of its employees to live up to.”

Raines expressed, “If it is worth doing, do it with a passion. I am working at setting the standards for the best bank in South Carolina. I’m very privileged to work for this organization.”

The award was presented at the bank’s Annual Employee Banquet held recently at the Country Club of Florence. Rick Saunders, President and CEO of First Reliance Bank, along with Tiffany Saunders, last year’s recipient, presented the award, along with a check for $1000 to Raines.

Raines serves as a Vice President for First Reliance Bank and is the bank’s Senior Credit Review Officer. He joined the bank in June of 2000. Prior to that, he was the Pee Dee Area Manager for the Small Business Development Center of Winthrop University located at Florence-Darlington Technical College. He graduated from Winthrop University where he earned his MBA and a BS in Financial Management.
